BROMO CALDERA AND MOUNTAINS AROUND
There is a big caldera inside bromo. Geologist believe that long long ago, the whole bromo caldera was a big mountain. Its very bis that make the tallest mountain in Java named semeru look like small comprae to it. Then there was big explotion that destroy the mountain. Make the middle part becoming big caldera. Became sea of sand and creat some small top inside the caldera as chimney and today we called the chimpney as Bromo with the whole inside it. Infront of bromo, there is mount batok because the look of the hill just like batok from coconut. Batok is the hardest skin from coconut, and if you cut the coconut in to two part and put it on the ground, its look like mount batok. Thats the name come from.
Behind the caldera, behind the bromo, and behind the batok, there is a big active volcano. The biggest and the tallest in Java. the name is Semeru as one of the tallest mountain in Indonesia. Semeru became the iconic mountain behind Bromo and always become the background of the video or picture in Bromo area and as an active volcano, sometimes Semeru will explore with grey smoke on the top of it.

BROMO LOCATION
BROMO is national park in East Java, and not so far away from Juanda International airport Surabaya. Only 3 hours maximum from Juanda airport you will arrive in Bromo, means the acces to it are very easy and for you as an office worker who have 2 days off in a week, then bromo is easy. 1 day and one night is enough bromo. For Malaysian, Singaporean, Thailand and Vietnamese even Brunai as long as you have direct flight to Surabaya then its enought.
SUNRISE POINT LOCATION
The location to see the sunrise also east to reach. We start the tour at 2 am by get in the jeep. The driver will drive us to the sunrise point for 1 hours. The walking a little bit, we will arrive at the sunrise point and waiting for the sunrise inside a canteen or a warung. No need to spend hours walking or even haking like other mountain. Thats nother cheat to enjoy the beauty of nature.
The only problem is during national holiday in Indonesia, there will be thousand jeep and visitor go to this place. Sometimes the jeeps are park far away from sunrise point area. The the option is hiring motobike taxi if you dont want to walk far. They charge kind of expensive tarif, so make sure we make a good bergaining before we get on the bike taxi.
THE BROMO CALDERA
The time for the sunrise is around at 5. 30 am and then we need to go back to the jeep. We will go to the next destination. the caldera of bromo. the sea of sand and you call it dessert. They gonna park us in the iddle of the sea of sand, the we have to walk for 2 kms to reach bromo top but no need to worry. With 250.000 idr you will get a horse ride go and return. Very good option for you if you want to save your energy and by doing that, you give a good earning money for the locals doing a nice holiday and benefitting the locals.
Walking to the top is not the ony thing we do in the caldera. The whispering sand is the next destination, look like a dessert but its in south East Asia. What a nive place to fell the dessert ambience. The good thing is, its locate so close to the hotel. Means that after we finish the tour, we will be able to get a nice breakfast to satisfied your hunger and thirst.
DRIVING BACK TO AIRPORT
Only take us 2-3 hours to the airport, so close, and it does not take to much time and energy to do the whole tour. Thats the good reason for you not to leave this destination from your bucket list. Even its not take you to much money to enjoy the best National Park in the word. The best national park is not according to me, but from the news we got from the last couple years. the reason of course, because Bromo are indeed beautiful and not going here because the time and the money is a bad reason.
